Oh, absolutely. A 13-episode season's going to be tighter, but we can't really hold that against Season 5. And to rebound from what Season 4 did to the show makes it doubly impressive. (Also: Season 4 *really* has no excuses…)

While we're looking at the seasons in big-picture mode, I'm genuinely surprised to find that Season 5 could easily make a run for best season. I think it's going to depend a lot on the back four, but this has been a fantastic year, close in quality to season 2, and not just by last year's lowered standards.
Okay, that was terrible. Let's try that again, NerdInTheBasement. You be something easy. Like a stool.
DOT DOT DOT hmmmm?
Coover tried to kill Dickie, but failed. And then he got murdered the same night. Not a great night for the Bennett family.
No, we need to save him for the final season villain!
I can respect that; while I think season 5's going to really pull its narrative threads together, Justified's not really giving us any clue what the endgame is yet. Although with the exception of S4's Drew Thompson case, I'd argue that we've never really known what Justified's endgame will be until around the final…
I don't know… this season seems like the sort where, at a certain episode, everything's going to "click," and then the overarching narrative will seem obvious in hindsight. After all, season 2 only started to tie its many disconnected threads together with episode 9, "Brother's Keeper," and then it became possibly the…
Was I the only one who thought this episode deserved a better grade? I'm not saying this was an "A" episode, but Johnny & Boyd's story alone seemed like it pushed this to a solid B or B+. Then again, "Justified" is also my favorite show, so I'm incredibly susceptible to its ample charms, even in weaker episodes.
Fingers crossed for a "Wallace, I Need a Favor" spinoff.
We call it the "Smallville" gambit. Fans love it.
It might have been in poor taste, except that Harmon didn't allow for the easy "S4 was terrible" joke. Sure, it's referred to as a gas leak year, but Jeff brushes that aside and points out how the problems had already started before that. He takes at least as much responsibility as season 4.
As someone else mentioned earlier, Repiloting was a glorious exercise in self-restraint. It stripped away all of Community's excesses - both lame and hilarious - and dug right down to the raw emotional roots of each character. Precisely what the doctor ordered after Season 4, which - while not terrible - was pure…
While I'd love a movie, this seems like the most likely course of action. Not that I'd be complaining.
How is it that Abed articulated my Johnny Depp sentiments better than I ever could?
My favorite part of the "gas leak" discussion is how Jeff dismissed it and then stealth-apologized for Season 3 cartoonishness as well.
These episodes felt like they were ripped from Season Two. Which is just fantastic.
A plus usually means your professor used to be in your study group. Or nepotism.
That French song caught me off-guard. At first, I was like "WHAT?", but then I thought "This'll be a story…"
Dear God I hope so.
