The whole “going north of the wall to kidnap a wight” crew rode a dragon last season (with the exception of Jon). Not a lot of Targaryens in that bunch.

She probably thinks her dragons are different, because they’re her children, and they know to trust the people she trusts?

Benioff, Weiss, and now we know that only Targaryens can ride dragons, but that doesn’t mean that Jon or Dany do. But I thought that scene was stupid for other reasons; it was time-filler fluff.

John Bradley was far and away the acting standout for this episode. Terrific work from him in the scene with Daenerys and Jorah.

Dany really hasn’t been likable for a few seasons already.  

They’ve set it up so that by the end of the show we can see her transformation from benevolent dictator to just plain ol’ dictator.

I think you are wrong.  Ceresi didnt want him in her bed.  She is using him as a cover for her pregnancy.  It serves a dual purpose.  It gives the kid legitimacy, and adds some control of Euron.    Her smirk when he said “Im going to put a prince in your belly” told me that I was right.
