See Martin Scorsces interview a month or two back where he talks at lenght about how he “he has only begun to understand filmmaking” and is “sad because he knows he just doesn’t have the time left to make everything he wants”.

If he is physically able, he’ll keep working until the moment he can’t.

The difference, of course, being that John Brown was right and the law was wrong.

Given how aggresive the Captain sounded, I figured she would counter me with a mission to somehow swindle the planet from the corporation.

I think i had to hit that before I was done with my first seesion.

I think the anwser to a lot of the criticism (including my own) is that Bethesda still has the same folks running everything. Same hack writers, same hack UI design, same hack *redacted*.

Mmmm.

...they were everywhere last time. A large reaction to Valhalla was “this is too goddamn much and too much the same”.

Honestly, the fact that it took so long and so much of it is just proc gen’d enviroments makes me wonder if it was worth it.

I agree. Theres an enjoyable game here but the heart&soul of exploration has been ripped out.

...what are we doing here.

The cycle shall never end!

I couldn’t believe how fast patch 1&2 dropped, so I am happily waiting it out a bit longer. My Tav is sitting 20 minutes into Act 2, so a pretty good point to take a break and play other stuff while the game gets cleaned up.

Until you pump a couple points into piloting skills, it is a lot like trying to manuever a dead duck thorugh a hurrricane.

No, that is pretty close to the level of complexity presented.

Yeah, welcome to the 21st century. It’s a fucking hoot of self-hatred and eternal enshittification.

*fartttttt*

I’m like an hour  into the game and ship combat is close to a fucking dealbreaker. I have to hope it gets better with upgrades because that was a miserable 6 minutes of playing loop-de-loo. If that is core to the experience, I’m already thinking to use mods to make the ship invincible.
