mine too

Nope. One instance I read about recently was a woman who went in with colon cancer, and her doctors accidentally cut too far and cut out her cervix. She had to have an emergency hysterectomy (at age 29). In her state, the medical malpractice cap was $250,000, which wouldn’t even have covered the cost of expert

I would have straight up been kicking some bitches in the throat.

Has anyone been fired? Has anything happened besides the hospital’s insurance company writing a big check? (Just kidding, this will almost certainly be appealed and the check won’t be written for a long time, and it will likely be for less money, and her lawyers get half anyway!)

On top of setting the hospital on fire, she should also get a free 15-minute session with each nurse in which all laws are suspended and she can do whatever she likes to them, no holds barred. I know violence doesn’t solve anything but sometimes oh boy it feels GOOD.

FUUUUCK THAT NOISE. That won’t even cover the hospital bill in some circumstances!

DUDE. Hell naw forcible restraints. This lady needs more. MORE EVERYTHING.

In some states, the most you can get for malpractice is as low as $100,000. Even if the doctor knowingly kills or permanently maims a patient.

I mean, is there anything more they can do than fire you? Can you be super-fired?

S E R I O U S L Y. Though from what she said, she straight-up tried to kick a nurse and was forcibly restrained. $16Million is not enough - she should be able to set that hospital ON FIRE.

I just finished telling my husband about this and I told him if that was me he better punch all of them and push them off. Like what the fuck. I can't even begin to imagine how horrible that would be. That poor woman.

I am way more interested to find out what happens to the nurses involved!

She deserves all the money. All of it. Empty Fort Knox, unlock the Federal Reserve, it belongs to her now.

As if I don’t have enough incentive to not want kids, this story comes around.

One of the few cases where I’m like, the $$ was nOT enough. She deserves like endless money her whole life. Her whole family does; they’re all suffering, not just her.

me in real life.

Congratulations! I am pregnant with my second! Welcome to the phase of your life when you will always click on articles that you know you shouldn’t! What is this horrible compulsion?!?!

Currently snorting my birth control off of the back of a bar toilet while googling clinics that perform hysterectomies on otherwise healthy 30-year-olds.

DUDE. ONLY $16 MILLION. SHE NEEDS ONE BAJILLION DOLLARS IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS THE WORST THING I’VE EVER HEARD.

And with that, I’m out for the day. Have a good internet everyone!
