This reminds me of how one of those (white, right-wing) 2nd Amendment guys - who was dead serious about all people having the right to bear arms to resist oppressive government authority - announced a plan during the Ferguson protests to stage an armed, open-carry march with local black protesters.

I used to think anti-Semitism was mostly a thing of the past, and then I got on Twitter. Goddamn, there are a lot of people out there who genuinely believe that every manifestation of the misuse of wealth and power is secretly governed by the Jews.

I also hope someone is kind enough to do a pro bono civil suit against the brothers for Smith.

Yeah, the dumb rednecks I grew up around were big fans of appropriated black culture, as long as it didn’t get them too close to actual black people. Lot of white farmboys out there get into rap just because it’s edgy or different. Eminem is basically the patron saint of these people.

My WASP grandma’s cooking was bland, undersalted and overcooked as a rule, and desserts usually involved Jello. Luckily my other grandma married an Ashkenazi Jew who’d lived in Mexico, and they traveled extensively, so her cooking had flavor.

Not to detract from the point of that excellent article, but I think I read that elsewhere that the photo of the two white men dragging a bleeding black man by the armpits was actually his friends rescuing him from the mob who had beaten him. I could be remembering wrong though.
