Naming it Prey was definitely a mistake that kept many from playing the game. Out of my gaming group of around two-dozen at the time, I was the only one willing to give it a shot, as everyone assumed it was a remake of the original Prey, which none of them liked that much. Even after I played it and discovered how

At 430 in the morning I'm milking cows.  Jebidiah feeds the chickens and Jacob plows.

Nah, hoarders collect trash, and I don’t see piles of N-Gages or 32X.

Steam already has the “Curator Connect” system (https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/marketing/curators) that devs can use to send game copies to curators. They are directly sent to the curator and, since there’s no key involved, they cannot be resold, so this is issue is completely avoidable.

They use that BS as justification to actually arrest someone for ‘resisting arrest’ since you can’t ONLY be arrested for resisting arrest since you’d have had to be suspected of a crime in the first place to begin the arrest.

I was unaware that this was an option. Thanks!

you couldve signed up on sony direct and gotten it within a month at msrp if you really wanted to. not having one by now just means it wasnt that important.  you can just say that instead of pretending like getting one was a big deal.

Outside of ratchet and clank, i literally cannot think of another next gen exclusive that isnt also looking to pc port.

That’s actually a good point... they may be raising prices in Sept just so they can “discount” them back to normal in Nov/Dec for the holidays to make people *think* they're getting a good deal.

Yes, one adjustment they could make is adjusting to the idea that they can’t have profits which grow endlessly year on year...

Hey now, Pennsylvania is just as racist as any southern state you can name!  Don’t sell us short here!

So can we have the content we paid for & got removed back?

Understand wanting to get the game out before the Holiday Season, but a game like this going against Pokemon is essentially a Death Sentence.

I’m really kind of curious about this game, but the lack of extra development time following the issues earlier this year and Segas extremely spotty record with Sonic games has me concerned. I’ll probably wait to see how the reviews look before deciding if I want to get this.

Yeah, poor people aren’t allowed leisure time, they exist to scrape enough together to eat and find new ways to keep warm, dry and clean. Jesus.

No, it’s lawyers seeing a company monopolizing it’s digital storefront to remove competition, therein hurting consumers. The notion that consumers can’t be protected from companies just because the items they sell aren’t necessary for living is absurd.

Rooting for the consumer rights advocacy group--sorry Gamers™.

As someone else noted this may be due to Sony removing the “Redeem a code” feature where you could buy digital games from other stores and redeem them on the playstation store. Because there are no other stores to buy from it may fall under a monopoly in uk/euro courts.

I wonder if this is related to the ruling on Sony removing the redeem a code feature. I think the judge in that case noted that the plaintiffs had a possible case, but their specific argument was flawed (they didn’t provide any data to back up their claims).

Video games are totally part of the cost of living crisis, how are we supposed to live without video games to distract us from how hopeless our lives are lol
