You do have to start a new game. I haven’t downloaded her yet, but you did for Gunvolt so I would assume it’s the same. I’m grabbing my Switch now though, so if I’m wrong I’ll report back.

Grab spammers are why I primarily don’t two use heavy Arms. I use Twintelle and MinMin a lot, and I use Sparkys, Chillas, Crackers, etc., with both. If you want to use a heavy Arm, make sure to use a medium/light as well, since you can knock their grab away.
I always have trouble with blocking Ninjaras as they’ll…
Yeah, I’m not sure how Blue Moon playing against one of its worst matchups and losing is somehow article-worthy. I mean, it’s cool that I now know that a Seahawks linebacker is a Magic player (I’m out of the loop apparently), but this article is very mean spirited considering that its only matchup worse than Affinity…
There’s zero chance, but it’s the only place besides here and Reddit that I frequent, lol.
Holy shit, I’ve been saying this same thing but taking a couple verbose paragraphs to make the same point (largely dipping into sales numbers to show how people don’t really go out of their way to buy Metroid when one is available- and largely haven’t, since Prime).
I may well copy this and use it on GameFAQs at some…
There’s no magical port button for Nintendo in this. The games are developed by Gamefreak; Nintendo doesn’t even have full control over The Pokemon Company International (as that’s a joint venture among Gamefreak, Creatures Inc, and Nintendo) so if these games were in development before they saw how well the Switch…
Wait, it’s going to have 7, 8, 9, and 10, but not Mega Man and Bass?
Graphically speaking, it was a very similar game to 8, so you’d think if they could run 8 then MM&B would work too.
And at what point were 7 and 8 looked upon so favorably that they could have been considered for *half* of a collection? Back in the day…
I actually thought the AI in Deluxe on 150cc and Mirror was made *easier* than MK8.
200cc is full of the old bullshittery (literally inches before the finish line in first, a blue shell, red shell, a banana shield bump, rebounded green shell, green shell again, and then someone with a Star pushed me through the finish…
Well yeah, Metroid Fusion sold well for being a GBA title, but the Prime games cost significantly more to develop and somehow one of those sold less than Fusion (Echoes was pretty great, all things considered), while Corruption did a little better. Development costs for Echoes and 3 were disproportionately higher in…
Well, just another reason why Nintendo would second guess the series, I suppose. I bought them all- I have relatively fond memories of playing Hunters while waiting for a ride home from college (I was awful at it but the online play was actually really fun. Not Metroid-like at all, but it was still a fun game on which…
I’m having trouble picking a character to pursue as well. Then again, with work and everything else that’s come up, I’ve only just completed the second dungeon so I’ve got plenty of time, I feel. Not really digging Ann, though. The doctor is an interesting choice, at least this early in the game.
Yeah, I’d love to see a new one. A GX style F-Zero would be extremely sweet, and while it may still not sell well, you’d think it’d do great on the Switch platform because there’s not a lot else in the genre at the moment (there’s Fast RMX, which I bought because I’m fiending for F-Zero, and MK8Dx. Unless there’s one…
Yeah, consumer appeal is a really weird thing. I hope they keep trying with Metroid and don’t let FF deter them from trying a new one.
.....
I miss F-Zero.
Worldwide. Japan hardly even buys Metroid games- for example, Prime 3 sold 70,000 copies in Japan. It took 890,000 in NA and 740,000 in EU to make up its 1.79 million sales (90,000 copies were sold in the rest of the world. That’s right, the game sold 20k more in every non-NA/EU/JP region than what sold in Japan).
Metr…
It’s not like I wouldn’t enjoy having every exclusive be multiplatform with PC so I could play the same games but in better resolution, free multiplayer, etc., but no, my later paragraphs gave away the context pretty well (or so I thought). My anecdote specifically would have preferred Nintendo games on Sony’s…
Sadly, that will probably happen if they make another big mainseries Metroid game.
The series just doesn’t sell. I don’t blame them for putting more effort into Splatoon over Metroid when it sold more than Prime 3, Trilogy, Other M, and Federation Force combined.
Hell, Splatoon sold almost 200,000 copies more than the…
In my experience of dealing with them, a lot of the people who claim they want Nintendo games on other platforms are people who are young. Teenage or just above- the kind who grew up with a PS2, got a PS3 and were made further indoctrinated and bitter by the fact that the PS3 didn’t do as well as the Xbox 360 at the…
You live up to your name, sir. lol.
Yeah, seeing the sun at any point of the day does not mean you’re going to have decent weather lol.. Since moving here, I’ve learned that, “Partly sunny” on the forecast means, “Carry an umbrella.” Kind of like last night- yesterday was great, but then around 8:30 it just rained buckets for a while out of nowhere, lol.
I’ll look into NexGuard. It doesn’t seem to be *that* much more expensive than Frontline, in all honesty. Our vet probably has some there in stock, I’ll ask next time I take my pooch in. Thank you!
