Sometimes when I click on a comment attachment, instead a giant citibank ad opens up with some surfer dude staring plaintively out at the sea.

Who the heck is paying for these Taboola ads? Has anyone ever clicked one of them, except maybe by mistake? And what's with their use of parentheses? Don't get me wrong, I can imagine worse things to have at the bottom of every page than a photo of Allison Stokke, but I have no desire to actually click on it.

But if they accept objective reality, then that means accepting that they’re propping up a nascent fascist dictatorship and are horrible human beings. And they know they’re good people, the salt of the earth, true American patriots. So reality must be wrong. It’s the only way to preserve their sense of self!

That is not the Breitbartian way. Everything you think and believe must be true. It’s only that kind of fanaticism that can sustain their desired fascism.
