Oh, I agree. I was just thinking about how ludicrous both of these criticisms seem in 20/20 hindsight. Neither of these candidates is either “establishment “ or “progressive” with respect to Cheeto Voldemort. The only category you can sort them into now is “rational” and “Batshit crazy.”

I agree. Being a New Englander myself, Bernie always read as “Yankee” to me, much more crusty New Englander than New York , but I guess that is his ethnicity. Such a shame.
