Oh, I think you misunderstand how clueless they can be. Also, for folks who hold the moral high ground, most of them seem to have a lack of moral fibre. You’d be shocked at the number of actual politicians (rather than pundits) who are still buying this particularly invidious line of reasoning.

I need more information! How are the two things interconnected? Are you concerned they would screw with your background check if you don’t give them more notice? Are you concerned that you might not pass the drug test or background check?

I have never understood this. Based on the stuff I’m learning from The Rise of Orange Foolious, I’m wondering if they are projecting. Like, if someone turned them down flat or called to cancel, they’d be angry/devastated, so they assume you would be, too?
