I definitely recall screaming, "DON'T LET HIM DOWN THERE" when the midwife asked if he wanted to cut the cord. Heh.

Nah, the 'better' the bra the more uncomfortable I find it. (I've been professionally fit twice.) I have these little numbers that are kind of like a cut-off undershirt with some soft elastic that do me pretty well though.
Aristophanes vindicated! Some things never change.
I respectfully disagree that I 'need a good bra.' Rather, I need a society that does not demand I don an uncomfortable and unnecessary garment designed to produce a false pseudosexual signaling display when I just want to go to the goddamn grocery store.
I reject this cultural diktat that only perky boobs must be allowed to be seen, and any boobs that are not perky must be strapped and hoisted into a false semblance thereof before their owner can appear in public.
The data show that children with older siblings are more likely to be considered average or below average by their mothers than children without older siblings.
I kind of agree, I didn't read the full article (go you) but staph and strep are common skin contaminants so I would bet the skin of the donating mom's breast/hands is the major source.
No they aren't. The major ingredient in most baby formulas is a processed form of cow's milk (to remove the proteins that human babies cannot process). There are special formulas for babies who can't tolerate cow's milk or that are marketed as for 'sensitive' stomachs that do use vegetable oils as a lipid source…

This makes sense to me (animals in overcrowded conditions will also reduce their fertility rate - e.g. by reabsorbing fetuses or eating their young, if they are rabbits or rodents), but why is the fertility rate in India still so high then? Is it mostly due to rural Indians who don't themselves live in overcrowded…
It really depends what the guy is saying. If it's "Good morning beautiful" or "God bless you," totally agree, I would smile, nod, and keep on walking. But if it's lewd, graphic, or overtly threatening it can make you feel like shit for the rest of the day.
But many catcallers are individuals. E.g. when I lived in a heavily Latino neighborhood, I got a lot of men who would speak very softly as they passed me on the street. Nobody else would have been able to tell I'd been catcalled unless I answered back.
That's interesting. Thanks for participating.
"See, I don't believe there's such a thing as female-skewing skills. There are things women tend to do better because of early and consistent socialising"
Sorry, that should read 'institutionalized sexism' obviously - my bad
I think the school system always favored more 'female'-skewing skills but in the past, other aspects of institutionalized racism overwhelmed that factor and kept men coming out ahead. Perhaps girls always got better grades but since they all went teaching/nursing/MRS they didn't present a competitive threat to men at…
I think that modern education (and to an extent, the modern job market) is just structured in a way that relies more heavily on skills that women are more likely to have than men.
I actually think the catcallers also (if they think about it at all) are coming at it from this perspective - i.e. feeling 'lucky' to be approached by an interested stranger. Hence why they think women are 'bitchy' or 'stuck-up' for avoiding or rejecting the advance. ("I would feel lucky to be approached like this,…
Admitting I read way too much about Kim K., I think she had to quit breastfeeding when she went to Paris for Fashion Week and left the kiddo with her mom.
Another catcall story:
