I have tried the lane keeping on my Jeep and it works, but I hate to have to keep my hand on the wheel and not be doing anything. I would just rather steer anyway. I guess I would be an “all or nothing” sort of person when it comes to that, but since there isn’t any “all” system as of yet, I will just steer myself on

Based on the X2 platform. The car is speeding tickets waiting to happen lol. Car seems so slow when doing the speed limit vs my Grand Cherokee.

I am buying a ‘24 Mini Countryman JCW this weekend. To me is just just a bulbus Cooper but it is listed as an CUV/SUV apparently. Now the new Countryman, which I saw in the show room is SUV sized, about the size of a RAV4 if not a little larger.

I had never seen one until Monday while driving into work. Looked up and one was just next to me. Not sure how long they have been on sale, but it seems a while now. Maybe I am confusing all the “Coming soon!” ads for it.

When we have flown mapping missions over DC, we have had USSS riders on the plane to make sure that we don’t deviate from the flight plan and can take over the controls if needed by force. That whole area is a mess of airspace approvals.

I drove through there a couple times on my to SC over Labor Day weekend. I hate I-95 and I-295, though 295 is not too bad south of the I-64 interchange, well apart from the Hopewell police sitting out in the shoulders looking for speeders. They are always out there, sometimes 2 or 3 and especially on holiday weekends.

My Grand Cherokee has the passenger screen in the front.  I toyed with it one day but since I am driving, I haven’t used it.  From what I have read, the passenger can enter stuff into the Nav system while you are driving if you want to change things like destination or add a waypoint.  Passenger is also supposed to be

Nightmare fuel

But stopping it takes a lot longer.

A few years ago, a Wawa opened up just up the road from me. It was awesome. I would buy sandwiches from them all the time. A couple years later, a Sheetz opened up behind my house and I go there mostly. Right after COVID when the gas prices were high, they had a thing where if you get the Sheetz app, you got 50 cents

I am sure he is there but probably hated like Trump hated Pence.  Vance was the populist pick so Trump went with him versus a regular pol like Pence was.   Pence kept getting in the way and pushing back some.   Trump is hoping Vance stays out of his way and goes along.

Once you are on Trump’s shit list, you are never going off it.  You may be suspended from it for saying nice things, giving him gobs of money, etc....   But you are never truly off.

Commuting, I am at 39.5 mpg, a little higher ~40/41 mpg if I plug in every day at work. I drive from DC down to the Myrtle beach area, 440 miles in total and starting off with a full charge, I get over 500 miles of range. I make it there with 1/4 tank of gas left and 128 mile range. Not sure if I believe that number

I blame the eggs!

Last time I went to Shoney’s, it was on the way to a charity golf tournament and by the 9th hole, there was an issue.  Luckily, I made it through the hole and into the clubhouse.  Never went to Shoney’s again.

I average about 60/40 EV/gas usage in my PHEV daily if I don’t charge up at work. If I do then it is more like a 90/10 ratio. Pretty much gas up every 3 or 4 weeks now rather than every 4 or 5 days. Slightly smaller tank too. My work as free charging which is supposed to be limited to 4 hours, but it isn’t so people

Growing up, we had the ‘69 station wagon but as a Pontiac Le Mans. Had the safari package which was faux wood grain paneling and a roof rack. Dark green metallic paint, dark green interior, and pontiac rallye wheels. My parents would throw my sleeping back in the back for road trips. Loved that thing even though it

RAC (Royal Automobile Club) in this case, but for boats.

That or a brain tattoo so it looks like someone too the lid off his head lol....

Now playing

We had one in the office of an old job of mine. It was when I worked in military simulation and we used to as an example of how SIMNET (first military simulator network) was created. A colonel doing stuff for Naval PostGraduate School did a thesis on networked simulation where he took 5 of these and networked them
