Especially the ones that are jacked up and have knobbies on them. A lot of people down int he Myrtle Beach area have them to run around down to the beach or along the beach roads.

I was able to get the breakfast bagel during COVID (DC area) and I always though they put something like a garlic butter on the inside of the bun. I guess that was the sauce. I don’t remember a buttered outside but I may be wrong.  Haven’t had one in a couple years.

This is only going to get worse. I can see it here at my office park. The charging stations in the parking garage across the street were always filled with people’s Tesla’s for charging, same one’s every morning and afternoon (4 hour charge limit). I could never hook up my Jeep.

Basis of a number camper vans. It has it’s merits. Westfalia is coming back to the US with a Promaster based van. The reason people like them is because of the squareness of them and not losing space with upper cabinet storage like you get with the Transit and the Sprinter.  Things that suck about it is kind of a puny

I wonder if anyone else in the halls of power is understanding the lesson here.”

That and McCarthy forced this issue by pulling out of a deal he had with Biden to settle this a while ago, until the MAGA dolts started crying.  And since McCarthy wants to be all things to all Republicans, this is where we are.   But they will somehow try and pass the buck and the faithful will believe him that it

He was in one of these 2 buildings in some non-descript industrial park. Just like Rudy’s 4 Season’s presser, except inside the warehouse instead of outside in the parking lot.  https://maps.app.goo.gl/vnS9JXVHmtG96N4L7

I have had chili with cubed steak once before. It was awesome.  It was at a big convention in Orlando and one of the Gov’t contractors has a big party.  They always had chili and it was the go-to thing at the end of the day.   People would cut in line for it and piss people off.  Almost came to fisticuffs once lol.

Needs a traversing back and forth red dot.

The new refresh is a little (slightly) better.

The ones on Merritt’s issues are they are small.   I didn’t hit one up for the bathroom, but did for gas and for the amount of traffic, they are pretty tiny.  I didn’t have to wait long for gas either.  Just behind one vehicle at the pump I chose to use.

I have seen some nice stations and prototype stations over in Germany on the YT channel “ Out of Spec Reviews”. Seems like Audi and Porsche are testing different types of stations for their cars, but there are some others like this that are really nice and have a small restaurant to pick some food up while you charge.

Love’s has even added RV parks at some at a few of their stops. Kind of stiff on the price ($50), but they seem really nice. Full hookups and the pads are all level and concrete. I see a lot of van lifers that stay in their parking lots if able, get food, use the shower facilites, etc.... With the electric vans that

Kind of reminds me of a documentary I just saw. It plays on TCM every so often, but I actually watched it a couple weeks ago. About coal miners union striking in Harlan County, Kentucky. The mine bosses and lackeys start pulling guns and shooting at people. Doing drive-bys and stuff.

They are starting to build them in VA now. One is going in between Richmond and VA Beach/Hampton/Norfolk area on I-64 and then one was just announced to go in just south of Harrisonburg on I-81. That one I will pass going down to Charlotte, NC on trips.  Probably be 2 or 3 years before it is open though.

Yeah, I just drove through there a couple months ago on my way from Vermont back down to the DC area. I got gas in CT so I wouldn’t have to deal with NJT service centers. The one I hit up in MD was way better and less busy. I did stop at the Thomas Edison plaza for a bathroom break and it was a cluster. Busy as shit,

Never ate there but stopped for the bathrooms and gas once. I have family in SC so we have never stopped there, even as a kind when I wanted to.  The bathrooms are like going to a state park.  In a building behind the gas and conv. store.    A building with no AC if I remember correctly.  That sucks in SC summers.

They opened one up near me, the closest one to DC, probably about 8 months to a year ago. I haven’t been yet but when it opened, much like when the Sonic which is a converted BK opened, it was a complete traffic cluster... Been meaning to go, bu haven’t.
