I’m going to be super bummed if Trump skates by on all these corruption charges due to his gross incompetence and “he’s too stupid to commit treason” defense.

I think Trump was helping Russians move money in violation if the Magnitsky act. And they used that as blackmail to get what they want with him (although, I think as long as money flows to him, they didn't need to force him to do much). 

Because Trump cares about two people, and he'd let everyone else die to protect those two. 

That Trump would do this isn’t remotely surprising, this is his thing, he’s been an unstable nightmare of a human being for decades and that he now has access to the highest powers only means he’ll be an unstable nightmare with everyone’s futures.
