What sort of answer are you expecting? “The games make them do it”?

But how long til they start disintegrating?
While I would love to see more developers take a political stance, the truth of the matter is that games (big, costly games in particular) need to sell.
I would have personally assumed it was the other way around. Attractive celebrities can admit to liking just about anything and people find it charmingly relatable, or at worst, quirky. But basement-dwelling weirdos get shat on around the clock.
Yeah. Though to be fair, there are far worse offenders in the “harem overshadows the rest of the story” department, even within the Science Adventure series itself.
Out of everything I saw at E3, the only game that has me more excited than Resident Evil 2 is Cyberpunk 2077.
I tried it for a week or so on PS4 and I just couldn’t get into it. There didn’t seem to be an easy way to adjust the controls, the text was super small and it had the same scammy feeling that most free-to-play games do.
I tend to agree with you. The items and craziness are what differentiates Smash from almost every other fighting game. I can watch Street Fighter and Tekken all day, but professional tournament-level Smash just bores me to tears.
That one crept up on me too. Which is kind of a bad sign, most times.
Absolutely agree. Some years have been amazing, others meh, but I’ve always been pumped in the days leading up to E3.
I’m wrapping up Yakuza 6 myself. Already beat the game, but I have to grind out a few more things for the platinum trophy. After that, I think I’ll move onto Chaos;Child. Summer is visual novel season for me.
I appreciate the fact that I don’t have to spend a penny and I’ll still have the same chances of getting a cool skin as the guy with enough money to buy a hundred loot boxes. For once, the richest gamer on the block doesn’t just stroll into the game with everything unlocked right out of the gate.
I honestly don’t mind jump scares, but it would be fantastic if more horror movies tried to be actually terrifying, instead of relying on cats and orchestra hits.
Every once in a while, somebody will try to transport “explosives” without intending to blow up a plane. Things like fireworks, or a cool dummy grenade they bought in a souvenir shop or something. Sometimes, these things really could explode or start a fire if they’re not handled properly, and because people are…
I’m totally going in on this.
If any old timer horror fans around here remember the blog “Chris’s Survival Horror Quest” many years back, I do believe this game was made by the same guy.
Granted, I stopped watching the Resident Evil movies after the third one, but I thought the first movie was great specifically because it didn’t feel the need to cram a bunch of characters from the game into the story. It could have existed as a side story in the official Resident Evil lore without really…
Yep, I can back up your fifth point with personal experience from my WoW days. If you’re polite and helpful and spell things correctly, people just kind of assume you’re a woman. It didn’t help that there really were plenty of guys running around with zero interest in dispelling all the negative stereotypes associated…
I know exactly what you mean. I pick up some geeky magazines every now and then, and it’s interesting to see the care and attention they put into the articles and reviews. Print journalists know they’ll never win the race to be “first”, so they strive to be the “best” instead, which is impressive given that they’re…
I don’t follow traditional sports, so I had to look up some numbers. Take them however you will. Overwatch isn’t included in the statistics, but I imagine it follows similar trends:
