The average age of esports players is a several years younger than traditional athletes. They’re children who went from being Twitch streamers to MLG pros overnight. I’m not saying that to defend their behavior, only explain it.

They don’t pull these guys out of the general population of OW players. They’re the best of the best, the top 1%. They’re also basically children who grew up on the internet, learning to socialize in insulated communities where toxic and questionable behavior is rewarded.

The production values are amazing and I love Street Fighter, but it just doesn’t feel like it captures the essence of the series very well.

This is really sad. I’d love it if indie developers could make a living making the kinds of games that excite them, but the unfortunate reality is that the market is oversaturated and incredibly fragmented. There are simply too many games for people to afford, or even pay attention to.

You can keep believing that if you want. It’s fine. I don’t think a person’s sexual interests, no matter how strong, necessarily eradicate their capacity for making decisions based on morals and ethics. People aren’t that simple.

It’s just a touchy, emotional subject for a lot of people, and I see a lot of animosity and hatred whenever it comes up, but not a lot of productive conversation, like the sort you and I are having now.

True, it’s impossible to get any solid numbers on this. And at the end of the day, there’s no way to gauge how many crimes -don’t- happen because people had outlets. So yes, I’m forced to rely on my gut instincts and anecdotal evidence, which puts me in the same boat as the people coming down hard on games like this.…

As a tank/support main, I’m really looking forward to playing her. I’m also looking forward to the rest of my team scattering to the four corners of the map, thus negating most of my utility.

Seriously. Granted, I’m pretty much immune to all these tactics, but I just can’t imagine how a person can lack so much willpower that they’ll spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on fake items. That seems like an issue for a counselor, not politicians.
