It’s inspired by one of D.va’s alternate skins in Heroes of the Storm.

Hitman is exactly the sort of thing Hollywood loves. A bland character and plot means that writers can do whatever they want, and the series is pretty well-grounded in reality. Adapting a more fantastical game would require a larger budget for props, sets and special effects. It doesn’t have to be good to be

There are good and bad ways to go about microtransactions. They could have sold purely cosmetic items, either by the piece or in lootboxes (which isn’t as bad as some people around here make it out to be), but selling power-ups that give you an advantage in a multi-player game is a huge no-no.

To be honest, I don’t find Overwatch’s leveling obnoxiously long at all. I can get a loot box roughly every hour and a half, which is about how long I’d put into the game most evenings, while having fun the entire time. Plus you get three more for winning matches in the arcade.

I’ll take Overwatch’s loot boxes over other games’ systems any day. I haven’t spent a single penny on the game since the initial purchase, and I have a bunch of cool stuff. Plenty of other games make you grind for an obscene amount of time, or sell their cosmetic items strictly for real money.

Thanks for the heads up! That sounds like a great compromise, and I’ll be sure to check some of those out.

Browsing through these videos, it makes me wish there were more let’s plays without commentary. The voiceover and face cams just take me out of the experience, especially with horror games.

I get what you’re saying, and I prefer a straight speedrun myself, but much of the time, even these glitches have “rules”. Sometimes, finding them, triggering them and maximizing them to their fullest potential can take just as much in-depth knowledge and dedication as playing the game the right way. I don’t think

I started getting into horror games during the Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 era. What a fantastic time that was. I just got through playing Resident Evil 7, and despite it’s completely overhauled design, it still felt like one of the older games, and that was quite a treat.

Yeah, they do that here too, though my town takes it one step further and has a curfew. Trick-or-treating is over and done with before the sun even goes down. And my town isn’t exactly a crime-infested hellscape; it’s quite safe, actually.

Trophies are there for the sake of enhancing the spectacle. It’s a lot more fun to watch the winner be presented with a trophy than a check (even those comically oversized checks). Basically, the audience gets more of a kick out of it than the recipients do.

I’m sure this guy’s videos do the trick for somebody out there, but honestly, it feels like he’s more interested in carving out a niche by mashing together two already popular things.

I’m in the middle of my Halloween gaming marathon right now. The biggest thing on my plate right now is Resident Evil 7 (playing it for the first time), plus I’m putting some time into Dead by Daylight and Overwatch’s seasonal event. If I have time left over, I might squeeze White Day: A Labyrinth Named School into

I can’t speak for other games, because the only one that I play with loot boxes is Overwatch, but I like how Blizzard handles it. So far, I’ve been able to get everything I want (whether through luck, or spending my banked credits). The trick is to not want literally -everything-.

Even though I’ve seen most of the recommended movies, it’s still a really solid list, and I’ll likely check out the unfamiliar ones. Thanks for the heads up!

It’s wonderful. Ever since they changed her, I haven’t had to worry about not having a healer on the team. Everybody wants in on that action now.

Don’t throw them out, because somebody out there will want them. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of selling them, you can probably find people in the comments section who will gladly take them off your hands. If my PS2 and Wii are still running strong, I’m sure other peoples’ machines are too.

I know for a fact that the gameplay and challenge aren’t my cup of tea, but the art and music are amazing. I wound up watching a youtube video of all the boss fights, and I feel like I’ve had my fill. Still, I’d love to see the style applied to games in some different genres.

Absolutely. It didn’t help that money was brought into the equation too. Some companies are willing to overlook a lot of hijinks, but when people start profiting off this stuff, that’s guaranteed to bring the hammer down.

The Outbreak games are a couple of my favorites. I didn’t have the ability to play online at the time, but even with AI bots... I put an absurd amount of time into both games. It was very nice to play a Resident Evil game where you could be a doctor or subway attendant instead of a badass military man.
