This so much. There's no reason to bore someone to death with something they're not interested in. I don't talk to my wife about video games and I have several friends that don't game either. We talk about other things we have mutual interests in.

I have never understood feeling guilty about in game actions. Nobody is real, you're doing no actual harm.

You could also _not_ talk to people who don’t share your interests. If that’s not possible, maybe it’s time to evaluate why you want/are in a relationship with that person.

This. I generally avoid talking about things i’m passionate about, unless i know the other person is really into the subject as well.

Before all that. Make sure to tell if they actually want to talk about this topic and are not just being polite. You never want to be in a one sided discussion, especially when its about something you love.
