Years ago, in San Francisco, a cabbie and drug dealer ran a similar racket. You would call the dealer to order a cab, the cab would show up and you’d hail it just as you would on the street. You drive a short distance, do business, pay the fair plus a decent tip and you get dropped off not far from wherever you were.

The same thing happened to me a few months back. Scored a cheap and last minute (at the gate) for an exit row. Except the man next to me was spilling over into my seat. This was SFO -> PHL. Thankfully I had the window, but every so often I could feel the excess. ugh.

Paypal is scum when it comes to charities. After the South East Asia Tsunami in 2004, there is a website that raised quite a bit of money through paypal. Paypal flagged it as a scam and the charity fell apart and many people never were refunded because Paypal thought it was suspicious.
