Pretty much this. American public transit is just terrible and makes it that a car is still a necessity. Europeans have figured it by putting actual effort into making public transit a priority.

I agree but at the same time after having played Obduction I feel like some parts are quite obscure and require a bit of luck & painful backtracking while other parts just “popped” to me since they seemed pretty obvious. I recall playing Myst and the likes back in the day and while it was fun, the kind of backtracking…

I remember 20 years ago some people did raytraced renders of Quake 3 and it made some fans go absolutely bonkers (me included). It was said that eventually GPUs would be fast enough to be able to do this in real time... Crazy to see it took this long, not gonna lie, but it’s also no small feat.
