I’m rewatching Malcolm in the Middle right now - I’m with sarahmas, I don’t think the show gets nearly enough credit for how good it is - and while Jane Kaczmarek is absolutely fantastic in her own right, Cranston is just soooo good as Hal. There’s a whole *person* there.

That is one of the best shows of this century and I will die on this hill. It serves on so many levels. My 10yo likes it as much as my husband and I do.

I’m excited for the kids who are just now discovering Kate Bush’s oeuvre. She’s one of those musicians’ musicians who doesn’t quite get the recognition she deserves outside her peer group.

She’s written consistently haunting and beautiful music for nearly fifty years. Stunning voice, talented musician, composer, and dancer.

One thing that fuels the disparity is the lack of outlets that lend their writing and media channels to the reporting of missing Black children. The Root could become another voice for that.
