I’m finding it hard not to think of Ridley Scott as a willful grump. I struggle with this because I don’t want to dismiss someone who I’ve thought of as one of the most talented directors of his generation for most of my life, but bloody hell.

Sigh. Being a Tim Drake fan can be difficult sometimes...

This sounds great. Gosh, and Orbital Comics in London both sell self-published stuff and put on drawing events, but I don’t think I’ve heard of any comic shop be this organised in their support of people trying to find their feet with making their own comics. I would love to see someone here do something like this, so

You may mean more ‘nouse’. Nonce means...something else

Hard to get past how perfect a fit She-Hulk could be. I’m assuming we’re talking a TV series because that makes space for more talking and corridors.

I get that Io9 has an editorial right to an opinion, but a headline like this actively discourages people from giving this show any chance at all. That’s actually pretty out of order.

The shoe was my favourite.

I was convinced entirely that this would only ever be an example of the sad reality that some pieces of work get left unfinished.

Ok...I saw Apocalypse for the first time a few weeks ago. After several months of people panning it, I was expecting much worse. It has many shortcomings, but it is nowhere near the irredeemable stinker that was Last Stand. Nowhere near. At all. Can’t emphasise that enough. So I’m not surprised they’re getting right

Having seen the film I think “this movie is crap” as a review is unfair. Having not read the book I can’t really comment on how the differences in the way the story is conveyed between the book and the film could be jarring or frustrating. I came away from it having enjoyed the film. I thought the performances were

Gut punch.

“Please kill yourself. Today, ideally. And painfully, if possible.” What on earth is the matter with you!? And you say this immediately after criticising someone’s level of empathy? Read this. Have a think. Merry Christmas by they way. Bloody hell.

I enjoyed reading that. The artwork is great and I really liked the tone. I’m intrigued by the supernatural elements and I’m fascinated by the idea of cat technology. Might just have to check out more.

I like Matt Ryan’s performance but I’ve never been able to get past my problem with how his accent sounds. Love the Welsh accent but my inner pedant goes up the wall when I hear it come out of Constantine’s mouth. Mumble grumble mumble.

I’d say your overarching criticism of the formulaic approach to Marvels origin stories is fair, but the implication that it will lead to diminishing returns seems pessimistic. It is important to set up these characters for audience members unfamiliar with them after all, and sophomore outings for each character

I haven’t actually seen the film (as much as I have loved the X-Men for decades. I’m an old.) but they left this out!? A scene like this!?

I remember visiting a couple of friends a few years ago. After a few drinks we got to talking about this subject, and as a few people here have posted, they brought out “My Screw Up”from Scrubs as the one episode of any TV show that broke their hearts the most. It’s a really touching piece of television, but for me,

Considering it’s been less than 24 hours since I saw the film this video is...pretty chilling.

I saw this last night and really enjoyed it. It’s certainly one of the most thoughtful takes on the zombie genre I’ve come across and the cast does a wonderful job of bringing a real sense of change and transition to all of the main characters. It’s also mercifully light on jolt-scares which I often find a bit
