If this were taking place in an actual historical period you might have a point, but it’s complete fantasy and only has as much rape as the creators want and clearly they want a lot as I’m told this character wasn’t raped in the books.

looking at some of the entries in this list, “based on a true story” must mean that the writers have, at some point in their lives, heard a true story.

That headline should be “10 movies that are surprisingly based on true stories,” since it would indeed be a surprise if all of those movies were based on the same story.
