This whole take is ridiculous. If I wrote this, I’d be ashamed to put my name on it.

In 15 years we’ll be asking ourselves why the American auto manufacturers failed, while the Chinese electric car industry took over the world. I wonder whether we’ll remember that day when the founder of one of the first and most important electric car manufacturers of the day browbeat shareholders into handing him…
IMHO, in situations like this where there is a severe recall with no remedy, the automaker should be forced to buy back the vehicle for whatever you paid for it.

I’ve said before that Tesla’s biggest advantage was the Supercharger network, but since that’s been opened up to anyone, people who want an EV are no longer funneled to Tesla.

I’ve seen shirtless, barefoot tweakers scale razor wire fences and broken glass covered ledges to steal copper from a rooftop in broad daylight.
This is a theft and vandalism magnet. If you want something targeted for vandalism, you lift it just high enough to reach and dangling tantalizingly. I bet you’d see kids trying to rip those lines out too. They’d be grabbing them and trying to tarzan swing on them all the time, so, lawsuit ahoy.
In a high trust society these are fine, in most US cities these will be vandalized into oblivion:(
I’d imagine in most major cities, these would be stolen right off the pole within a week.
this fixes so many issues; sidewalk real estate, cords left on the ground, vandalism, etc.
There is almost no chance one employee missed removing chips on 100,000 engines. There is a great chance that all engines, using 0 weight oil are experiencing what happens when 0 weight oil isn’t enough.
