There are plenty of other places that can take credit. I’d give the prohibition moonshine runners more of a bump for hot rods and DIY racing than California. Street cruising and drags in detroit. Etc.

This is the proper version of Jolene for this car, in so many ways:

More fitting?

Will it be lost though? The largest argument for others not being in the market now is that they can’t sell vehicles at profit they would like - or sell enough at the extra cost required. You could argue that Tesla is doing much of the same, but being floated by investors at the moment that allows them to sell the

I’d like to see the numbers. Given that they have yet to turn much profit as a company as a whole, it seems dubious at best. My assumption is that they are doing the tech thing and burying “development costs” a bit too deep.

Agree. But none of those last forever or are without consequence forever, especially with competition knocking at the door.

Negative.

His opinion may matter, but it’s really a stretch to claim 10 years since no one else is really trying at the same level.

It’s a platform, just like the Golf.   There will be a ID4 crossover, but they are releasing this in Europe first and no one gives a shit about that.

The front end of the newer modern Mazdas is too much for me, especially the 3 with the grill surround trim in black. It’s just another gaping hole that at best is out of proportion with the rest of the front.

And Mazda is far from beautiful. Sure, they aren’t the bottom of the barrel, but they have some hideous design going on either way. The newer ones suffer the same gaping face that is ruining so much new stuff.

Is that really worse though?

This argument never made much sense. If he wanted to kill people, he sure had the chance to do so. He stopped the truck and landed himself right in the middle of a threatening situation even.

Let’s not forget that all of these are the parent of the Firestone Explorers.

Man, I know people hate the 996 generation cars, but this is no reason to lump them in with shitty cops.

The problem with your burn out thought is that we are at less than 1% of US and World population confirmed to have it. “Burn out” expected to need 60-80%, if at all - and we have a LONG fucking way to go.

Do you have any idea of how many working age Americans have an underlying condition that does not work well with this?

You need to go on some VW forums to see if anyone nearby has a catch can you can install on your speedo.

So much this. Wheels and tires help you drive the car. Giant wheel/tiny sidewall is just the opposite of that in 90%+ of conditions.

What’s interesting is that, why the rear windows are styled different and scaled bizarrely, they aren’t actually that different from the dual rear side windows on a 7th-8th gen extended cab trucks.
