There are still cars out there new with less. They are becoming less common, but they are still out there. People tend not to buy them.

I would agree with you. BUT...
Then everything is not getting more expensive, people are just buying more expensive shit.
By recovered, I mean confirmed cases that are now healthy. It’s about 365k out of 1.6 million cases in the US. Recovery can be over a month for sick people and many of those cases are worse toward the end of that period. In short, there is a lot of room for more deaths just from those confirmed cases alone. A
If you think collateral damage is huge now, try for herd immunity. We are still less than 1% confirmed. You would likely need above 60%, potentially substantially above 60% to achieve that. With our current treatment methods this likely would mean millions of dead. Most likely more dead than ALL US war casualties…
It may be. But you can certainly carry it and spread it, without symptoms. And being healthy while doing so could make you an very effective carrier. Leaving a giant trail even if you aren’t in direct contact.
Younger folks might be fine, but they sure as hell can carry it and spread it - even without symptoms. So unless they are incredibly self centered assholes, they should be equally cautious.
At the same time, it’s hard to imagine Boeing ever giving a shit again if they know they will be bailed out for every stupid mistake they could possibly make.
I mean, it’s definitely a rarity and not lacking in funk points. But syncro just isn’t all that great. And you are unlikely to drive it in the snow and salt at this point. G60 is kinda cool, but how many cars of this size and shape can sound like a VR6? And “plus suspension” is kinda a plus.
These could be had with a 12v VR6. Which is the way to go, IMO.
Serious question, how does people staying home cause a spike and what does flu season have to do with it?
What if we DIDN’T call this a Chinese hoax and actually took it seriously. We’d have way less cases and actually have a fighting chance at testing and contact tracing. As is, no real action was taken until too late and we have a massive uphill battle to get on top of it.
Oh, people are talking about it. Here’s a good model done by the smart folks at Wharton. https://budgetmodel.wharton.upenn.edu/issues/2020/5/1/coronavirus-reopening-simulator
Then what? Then we have a serious fucking problem, especially if this thing provides immunity to those recovered for 2 years or less.
I guess I don’t mean to point you out specifically, but this type of argument is just too much and it’s happening far too often - your brief response is a prime example. The idea is part of the subject matter of the larger thread itself and has also invaded leadership.
Can people stop being such dumbasses as to compare stuff like this? It would really help the overall situation.
I can hear Tigerpaws squealing pathetically around those proving grounds from the pictures.
Most newer cars with cut the throttle if you apply the brakes at the same time as the gas, so even burning the brakes off is not much of an excuse.
From experience, these are better to drive 2wd. There isn’t much power and the simplicity and lower stance just makes it a fun in some weird way. Lower also makes for better trucks as the load height is better and these are fantastic for that to compared to anything remotely new. They are also small inside, pretty…
In cabin fart particles from the Ford tech who installed it.
