And by God you did a hellova job.

Funny enough, I'm going to Atami tomorrow for some onsen and beach action. Kinda cool getting a preview of the town; I gotta find that shrine and flip in front of it. Also, now very inspired to consume CC Lemon in order to combat this crazyballs heat in Kyoto.

That I can absolutely agree with. I can see the value in playing online and learning all the playstyles and stuff, but it's hard to learn when you're launching the joystick from lag rage and idiotic messages. Makes having good local players all the more important.

There's obviously a fair amount of hyperbole in PsychoNun's statement, but the Street Fighter franchise is still historically and culturally iconic, right up there with Mario and other stalwarts of the post-Atari renaissance of gaming. There's no denying that.

I can see how people feel that way, and to an extent I can relate. This so-called desire to "break the game" is part of the reason why Street Fighter 4 has so may iterations: they're all attempts to "repair" the balance of the game and prevent unfair advantages.

For many players, the Street Fighter experience isn't limited to just throwing fireballs, knocking out your opponent, and bringing on a new challenger. As long as there is a competitive metagame, then there will be aspects that are "more than just a game." This is true for every competitive game with strong casual or

I used to work in SCEA's retail operations department, so I guess I've been fairly indoctrinated in the state of things when it came to numbers, and we used to get a pretty good laugh out of the shovelware Sony was entitled to, even to this day. And I was REAAAAL drunk when I responded. Actually, I'm drunk right now,

While I don't entirely dispute your numbers, I think it's important make some distinctions and provide context, because "absolutely OWNED" isn't quite the word I'd use to describe Nintendo's position in the history of gaming (I'd use "staggeringly influential" instead). Also, lemme throw in a source for the numbers

So is Jon Snow involved?

You got me at "Oh."

To make myself feel better, I will take this to mean that "creative" and "unemployed" are synonymous.

You know, pretty soon folks won't even know of a time when things were 4:3. That's the day we all become oldtakus.

I never had a chance to play Seaman but always read reviews and stuff about it. This article sounds just like those.

And from my eyes well great tears of Castlevania past. Jake Kaufman has the nostalgias by the balls.

Soul Blazer is the first game in what is affectionately referred to as the "Quintet trilogy," named after the long-defunct Japanese studio known for making some pretty great action-role-playing games. The next two games in the series, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma, are far more interesting. Soul Blazer is the worst

I totally imagined you choking a clown and then spontaneously combusting during and after saying all that.

*smiles*

I don't think he's trying to talk about the aging of the mediums per se, but rather point out the absurdity of the notion that humans (who exist beyond the medium in reality) and imaginary characters (who exist solely within the medium) deserve equal protection and age the same way.
