I totally understand what you mean. Abstract gaming has a number of advantages over explicit ones. Walking through Stormwind, you're awed the first time, but it's basically the same every other time you run through it. But reading about the woods leading to the necromancer's castle, about the rustling bushes and…
Wet dreams.
A Suikoden MUD? You have no idea how much more I respect you now. Did it have a cap of 108 simultaneous users?
No. Four hundred loose quarters.
"My son made a volcano model, all by himself!"
When I was a kid, I played a lot of MUDs. Later came World of Warcraft, and I spent almost a year raiding and grinding in a fantasy world that was created to give millions of people a temporary escape from real life. I've felt the tug of virtual reality—that jolt of addiction that comes with inhabiting a digital world…
Sony's taking on Oculus too, with a spaceman helmet they're calling Project Morpheus, and rumors suggest that Microsoft has their own VR device in the works, perhaps planned to integrate with Kinect to create the Star Trek-inspired future I've never, ever wanted.
And sometimes it's the severe cranial trauma.
I thought the Miku version is the original too, but there are a TON of covers for it with human vocals, different instruments, etc. It's an incredibly ubiquitous song, and I love it to death.
I always knew that my sense of entitlement would take me far! I have panda friend now!
Absolutely. I actually recommend getting every free PS+ game you can, because as long as you "purchase" it, it remains in your account for as long as you have Plus, regardless if you download it or even own the console they're for. Right now I have some 20 or so Vita games, but I don't even have a Vita yet, haha.
Mercenary Kings
Not for the guys who can't breakdance.
I'm not quite mistaken so much as misunderstood. I admit "teleporting" was a bad word choice. What I meant to say was something more along the lines of "abruptly and awkwardly transitioning to a new position due to the lack of pre-defined animation frames and the distance of the transition" such as when you jump…
Admit it; it'd be awesome to be represented by LawyerBot 5000. He will have clamps for hands. I shall name him Ephraim.
You're right Joe. I'm such a fool. Please don't kick my ass.
This kind of unlocked frame-rate is apparently standard practice with the past games in the series, though I hadn't noticed it when I played the PS3 games. I'm a fan of this approach, generally; I liked the unlocked frame-rate in the PS4 version of Tomb Raider, as well. The Digital Foundry guys aren't the biggest fans…
Exclusively strapped to your face.
Or some dude behind three walls. Or a corpse. Or p90'd by a guy in a jet. The wackiness knows no bounds.
