Because it’s a hobby, not a job. You made grandiose statements about what people like you do for the world but never actually claimed to have made statements yourself, all while making the somewhat contradictory “no more useless than a history degree” statement, which just reeks of a lack of confidence.
I’m just trying to find something on the B list that couldn’t be done better by people who focused on those for a short period, rather than taking at least six years before finding some way to shoehorn a narrow specialization into a field that requires far less or no higher education.
