There is nothing happening on Notes that anyone who has used social media any time in the last 10 years wouldn’t have known to pursue. And Facebook already has multiple social media sites, so “how to make a post” and “how to share a post” aren’t exactly trade secrets.

I think the folks who are bothered by that will likely slide over to Mastodon, which seems likely to have someone working on a better user experience as a result of Threads, since that’s the big barrier to entry.
Any one of those films would likely make a good sequel that way. Heck, he could make a sequel to the Color of Money and turn that series into a trilogy.
The most interesting thing for me about Threads is a message as you’re setting up an account that future versions will connect to the Fediverse, which seems like A Very Big Deal for both the Fediverse and Mastodon users.
