The trailers both look fine, but boy, it says something about the level of dysfunction at DC that there’s not even a peep about anything related to Superman, Wonder Woman or the JLA. Even today, these are B-level characters at best.

Warner Brothers should be throwing the folks in charge of the DC Comics film division

I hear your logic, and agree with it. I invite you to look at any non-geek media and see that they have no idea what the hell is going on and have been happy to throw up pictures of the Beyonder or talk about how it was a famous action figure line in the 1980s.

I honestly don’t understand why Marvel thinks that reusing

I watched Dune with two people who had never read or seen any of it, one 14 and one 47, and they loved it.

I think the audio series is supposed to be extremely faithful. No idea if they kept all the DC superheroes in, though.

I think everyone would agree with that. Issue 8 feels so very different from what’s come before and is still one of the best Sandman stories of all.

I look forward to the Corinthian freaking the fuck out of the general public.

Holbrook’s very odd accent he’s doing here (is he playing Benedict Cumberbatch trying to do an American accent?) works great to underscore his otherworldliness.

The MCU has the big advantage of saying “wow, that turned out horribly” in the comics and just cut away the extraneous nonsense. I suspect we’re going to get a much more focused Kang story than the comics have ever given us.

Only two more years of arguing which Secret Wars it’s loosely based off of!

And Marvel has already gone back to the well of re-using big event names with the current Avengers Forever this summer. So pointless and unnecessary.

I think it’s partially because the name is too good to pass up on, when the show’s moving streaming services.

During the first episode, Fiege’s going to be on everyone’s couch, elbowing them in the ribs and saying “get it? Daredevil is ‘born again’ on Disney+! Get it?”

Also: What about poor old Iron Fist? When does Iron Fist get his shiny new Disney+ TV show, huh?

Yes, but if you have Angela Bassett bringing the fury, it’s really hard to not share that with the world.

I’ve run a bunch of games for my dad, who is a natural storyteller and super-extroverted. But he’s always been nervous about being a DM himself. Finally, I just made him look at the adventure I’d just run him through and when he saw how little of it is ever actually on the page, he lit up: “Oh, it’s mostly just

I just assume everyone has a crush on me at all times and spend my days gently letting everyone down.

It’s a weird conversation to have with my Uber drivers, but rules are rules.

I am unreasonably enthusiastic about this upcoming change, to the point that I can see doing things like making a “vacation” focus with custom notifications, etc. for those times.

They are apparently including a reference or two to the cartoon in the movie, per the Hall H panel.

And Wizards of the Coast has been putting in a ton of references to the cartoon lately, including in last year’s Wild Beyond the Witchlight adventure campaign.

I would guess we’re going to see some version of the cartoon

Hey, if the first people you feature in the book are only wearing fig leaves, hell yes, there’s going to be a lot of pictures.

I worry that pointless snark like in the article might dissuade people who see the trailer and say “hey, that looks like a fun beer and pretzels game to play with my family and friends.” And it is!

You can go to Target right now, get the Starter Set box right now and be playing in an hour. No books anywhere near the

Oh, man, there was a really good trilogy of movies in the early 2000s that featured a big (unwieldy, really; they had to split them up for the second two movies) party with halfings, a dwarf, some elves, and humans, and a bunch of different classes. They played kind of fast and loose with how their wizards functioned,

I desperately want them to sneak a statue or portrait of Jeremy Irons into the background somewhere.
