Maybe I missed it, but I don’t think the modder ever called the game incomplete, or implied that this was the true vision.  I think most people understand that things are cut from media for various reasons (vision, cost, legal, etc).  But this is a mod of a 25 year old game.  This is for the true diehard fans to have

Look at the dude’s post history. He’s got a history of moving the goalposts whenever he’s contested about anything. Grade-A troll right there.

Don’t mind ACC. He’s always pissy whenever he feels his precious corporation is ever-so-slightly criticized.

Uh, yes. We should. We absolutely should give credit to those people you mentioned - all of them and more. Comics are treated as strip mines for multimedia franchising, and they’ll continue to be until we stop treating creators as disposable resources. Credit the original creators of the character, credit the creators

Kirby also got bubkiss, True Believer

“Should he be getting royalties from Deadpool movies and TV shows? Should he be listed as co-creator alongside Rob Liefeld? Should future projects carry “This work is inspired by the stories of Joe Kelly” even if they’re not direct adaptations?”

Meh. I think that’s an oversimplicatuon. Lots of comics characters end up being shaped by more than their “direct” creators. Deadpool was laughable trash until he was taken over by not-liefeld. Basically everything that people know and like about deadpool is Joe Kelly.

There is always somebody like you in any of these comics creator discussions. First you claim that Brubaker is claiming that he created Bucky, which he didn’t and then you basically tell him to shut up about not getting royalties because he knew what he was getting into. What a great “fan”

One of my favorite social media follows.

They didn't water it down for Republican support though. They watered it down for Democrat support. That's not a broken system, it's a broken party.

The problem with claiming the party ‘swung’ more progressive and use this bill as evidence, is that the progressive provisions were mostly all removed to appease Manchin. We couldn’t even get a compromised min wage increase; it died, unchanged from 2009. And saying that wages should increase with inflation isn’t even

No progressives would assert that only “total victory” matters, but we just had 4 years of “10 steps backwards”, so you’ll have to excuse us if “5 steps forward” doesn’t sound that impressive or praiseworthy, especially when it was bargained-down-to when the vote was party-line anyways..

This was after Trump signed the stimulus check with $600. There is no possible way to read this except as a promise for a new round of checks for $2,000. How could Ossoff, Warnock, and Biden, when they were promising $2,000, possibly be taking credit for $600 none of them had anything to do with? How does something

A better version of this bill could have passed. It’d be one thing if this was a hugely controversial bill, but it wasn’t. It’s just astonishing and frustrating that they pushed for these “minor” tweaks that did nothing to the overall cost of this bill, but nevertheless will have real, harmful consequences for people,

It’s not a bad faith argument. It’s real. Each of Warnock, Ossoff, and Biden specifically promised $2,000 checks if Warnock and Ossoff won. They promised that AFTER Trump signed the $600 checks into law. That’s real. $1,400 is not $2,000. It’s probably fine, because $1,400 is also not $0, and this bill will really

I feel like that’s a more nihilistic view of our perspective than progressives speaking like that, actually have, lol.

We embrace little accomplishments all the time. But the issue is that we exist in an environment, that has time and time again proven it will use these fleeting moments of joy, as a means of

I mean, $1,400 IS less than $2,000 (and, not for nothing, less than the $1,800 people got under Trump and a Republican senate). That the bill is pretty good doesn’t mean it couldn’t have been better and isn’t subject to some legitimate criticism, especially where the size of the stimulus is less than what was promised

It’s a shame that some moderates fought so hard to make this bill help less people for absolutely no good reason whatsoever (also, we should remember that it was moderates who threw tantrums and held this up for no reason, and progressives who swallowed hard and accepted the bitter pill of seeing key priorities

Yeah there is way to much work to be done to even be considering turning this moment into a savior situation. The recent bombings under this admin are enough reason to be suspicious of their dedication to any sort of progress that’s not directly tied to their wallets.

Good, now let’s pass HR1 and PR and DC statehood, or this will be an ephemeral victory.
