I spent a summer in NYC back in ‘07, working part time and interning part time at a museum. At the time I thought that was going to be my career, I was an Art History undergrad and I still love talking about art. But then I went through some similar realizations as you did.
Same here, I love cooking (well I actually love eating, but cooking gets me there). Meanwhile anything more complex than a box of macaroni and cheese and my fiance is helpless.

Good point. And we often forget that between Richard Donner’s Superman movies and Tim Burton’s Batman movies, DC was THE PLACE to go for good comic book movies for a couple decades.
