What about for someone who is brand new to this game? I was curious about it, but it was hard to justify alongside my obsession with Destiny: The Taken King. But me and Destiny are a bit distant these days, might be time for something different...

My free time to video game ratio isn’t really helping me out when it comes to replaying games... Mostly I’m trying to keep up with games I bought on sale months ago.

FUCKING THANK YOU. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills with this Ghostbusters worship. It’s a pretty funny movie with some decent special effects, not a fucking sacred text. And more than 50% of the official Ghostbusters universe doesn’t even rise to that level; GB2 is garbage, not to mention the cartoons.

I was undecided until the last minute when I said “fuck it” and threw in the extra bucks for Darkroot Garden. I haven’t been this hyped for a kickstarter in ages.

Nice! I think you’ll have a blast. I loved Bloodborne, and IMO it’s a bit easier to get into than the Souls games since it doesn’t have quite as much RPG stuff going on. It’s a bit closer to straight action. Not to say it’s simple, just simpler by comparison.

I mean that’s a fair point, but I think if you just care about what’s more playable you might as well start with DS3.

I friggin love these games and highly recommend playing them. But, I’m also gonna be “that guy” and suggest you to start with the first Dark Souls... DS2 is pretty much safe to skip (IMO of course), but Dark Souls has a ton of amazing stuff in it that will make you appreciate Dark Souls 3 even more.
