No worries. I know Pixie Sticks' view is not at all representative of the views of Jezebel commentators/readers. But, I have seen Pixie Sticks around before and she doesn't strike me as a troll. Controversial, yes, but not insincerely so.

So, a slow extermination of men as opposed to a quick one is what you're advocating?
I really can't tell if you're advocating for a "forced reduction" of males in post-secondary education or not, but a decline in post-secondary graduation rates for men would hinder our workforce and, thus, our economy something fierce. There's simply not enough jobs requiring only a high school degree to go around.
I suppose it depends on the intentions of the person making a joke. But, I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to internet commenting. I mean, we're on Jezebel. So, I think it's safe to assume that we all take these sorts of topics seriously. But, maybe I'm being too generous with that…
Some people use humor to cope with bad news - specifically, gallows humor. Without it, this world would often be too bleak to bear.

Thanks for your apt comment! Seriously. You hit the nail on the head.
Doug, you're an artist.
Agghhh. The Horseshoe. It's a heart attack on a plate, but what a way to go.
Professor Chernoff, thank you for taking our questions.
Hello, moderate Republican. Haven't seen you in awhile! Welcome back!
I, for one, was "rooting for the meteor".
I've dated a vegan. So much fucking humus. It took me years before I could look at Sabra again.
home to world's richest poor people.
Possibly. There's no consensus on the probability or volume of lost jobs due to an increase of the minimum wage to $10.10.

I think you're absolutely right. There is a a defensive posture at play in these situations. At the risk of Mansplaining, I'd like to offer my all-too-common story that might offer insight to why music is such a boys' club.
I think it's fair to say, that in some circles, especially the creative ones, there is an expectation that one move to NYC. But, then again, I usually hear that from young people who are anxious to live in a bustling city. "I just had to move to New York," they say. Nope. Not true at all. I mean, I can't blame someone…
Of the fake botched snap play, Romo was just auditioning for a possible role in a Broadway play just in case (*ahem) the Boys didn't make it to the play-offs. /JAAAAZZZZZ HAAAAANNNDS.
