As an amateur motorcycle racer i can assure you it is all “instinct”....... and most of the time it doesn’t work out. But when it does (granted i have never had such a radical save) the real magic is how quickly you get re-situated and back in the race.

This is an outstanding write-up and another excellent example of how much can be learned from friends in the online motorcycle community. you figure you have a hand built high-end italian bike so you shouldn’t tinker with it but if you follow the right steps fully rebuilding can be easy.
