I dunno. I think the pig sequel -bringing a flaming clown to a children’s hospital- sensibility is exactly what more superhero movies need.
While Ready Player One looks like dumb fun, I really, really love Last Action Hero. It subverts and deconstructs so many action movie cliches...and then completely reconstructs them for the finale. It’s like if someone instilled all of their love for action movies into one film.
How could you not mention Cheryl getting fucking kidnapped and sent to some weirdass Christian asylum for conversion therapy?

Apparently it’s the boots. If you look reeeaaallly closely, they have heels that are slightly higher than would be normal for riding boots.

Greg Rucka wrote some good Batman. I always liked the way that he and Ed Brubaker balanced their adventure stories with a more grounded human element, culminating in Gotham Central where the fantasy elements are generally in the background. Their more street-level approach seems especially appealing after many years…

Look, I watch alot of bad (and also good!) movies while working. These films fill a certain need.... something that is fun but doesn’t require too much thought or investment. Cloverfield Paradox had good actors, a few interesting scenes, and when it went bad.... it was still moving fast and silly enough that I enjoyed…
How does Netflix make money on these films or their original programming?
Did the teams look at all the different Lanterns and decide ‘hey, we can do that too’?
If she plays it like she did the vampire in Blade Trinity (where she and Ryan Reynolds were clearly in a different movie than everyone else), then this will be nothing but fun.
