As a middle-aged guy it is my most fervent wish to live to see a major oil company (Shell, Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, BP etc) go tits-up/chapter 7, followed closely by several major utility concerns like Duke Energy or Constellation.

This is the kind of garbage I cite when my liberal friends still make googly-eyes at an aging war hero. He’s one inch away from doing his Clint Eastwood-and-an-empty-chair bit on the Senate floor. The guy who stood up to the NVA is long gone and this asshat is all that’s left.

Rudy made his bones as a star U.S. Attorney for Manhattan before parlaying that into the mayor’s gig, acting as a centrist Republican before developing his penchant for mouth-breathing and knuckle-dragging (his current incarnation). He used to be a Repub that Dems could actually work with. I don’t know who this guy is.

Why has Deadspin not hired this guy to cover the Ryder Cup yet? Hell, send him to Nathan’s on July 4 while you’re at it.
