I’ve got an SN95 Mustang like the one in the opening GIF and replacing the 1970's truck shifter and molded plastic shift knob it came with from the factory with a decent short-throw shifter and a nice leather wrapped FRPP knob was the single best upgrade I made.

I have to take issue with that characterization too. I’d put it at brilliant for about 6 years. Simultaneously awesome, ridiculous and terrible for 3 years.
