Wheeler Dealers makes more sense if you watch it with the perspective of this is what you, the enthusiast could do in your garage/driveway on your own with mostly basic tools and some stuff you could rent. It’s not meant to be a car flipping show, it’s a show about how to fix up a car you love in a practical real

One of my older brothers bought one of these. It replaced a 1982 Camaro Berlinetta. The EXP was probably more fun to drive than the wheezy 6-cyl automatic Camaro but it didn’t look as cool, even with its mini-Mustang looks and Euro inspired slant-nose/frog eye front end.

...for just sacrificing that back seat...

The price feels a little high to me but who knows with how crazy things have been recently and Foxes are on the way up and, for as many as rolled out of the factory over 15 years of production, there’s not many decent ones left anymore.

The C70 is easily my favorite of the “boring” convertibles, laying waste to the typical Sebring/200/Solaras that make up the bulk of that class.

One of my older brothers was a U-Haul store manager back when they rented everything. The also rented full size RVs, which were very popular on football gameday weekends... and were filled with trash, spilled booze and vomit when they were returned on Monday. The RVs didn’t last long before the plug was pulled on that

I love the 1st and 2nd gen mini-Mustang Celicas.

Now playing

I rotate between stuff in my personal collection and a bunch Pandora channels I’ve curated or a shuffle of one or the other. I can get stuck for weeks/months exploring some new musical avenue or offshoot or revisiting an old favorite with new ears. Justice for All one week and Justice† the next.

I mean, $6250 is a nice price for just about any 15 year old, 100,00 mile car in this market, let alone a convertible sportscar. And it’s a stick?

SNES 3D racing game developer #1: Good news, we got approval to use the SuperFX chip!

It pains me to give this the thumbs down :(

The greatest car movie and musical rolled into one.

The funny thing about the Mustang II is the basic body shell isn’t all that bad really. It’s held back by the tacky 1970s doo-dads and gee-gaws borrowed from the gaudy and gauche personal luxury coupes of the era tacked onto it and by its unfortunate wheelbase, wheel/tire package sizing and narrow track and tucked

A Canon EOS is a different league of camera than the snapshot cameras I’m talking about. Old 35mm SLR cameras are still superior to modern smartphones in most shooting situations from a technical standpoint but for most general purpose snapshot purposes, I’ll take a smartphone over all those shitty snapshot cameras I

It was so exciting going to get the prints back and seeing what you got and how they turned out. Half the time, I didn’t remember what I’d even shot. Half the time, I couldn’t tell what I’d shot because they came out so bad.

Those cheap little brick 110 cameras opened up a new world to me when I was a kid.

I would unironically drive this ironically. I always thought the LeBarons were very sharp coupes for the period and especially so for the convertibles.

That’s the scheme:

Now you’re talking!
