I love the HUD in our modern car but I can’t live without the backup cam, blind spot indicators and rear cross traffic alerts because with its massive B & C-pillars and its fastback like rear window combined with a tall trunk and package tray height and a high belt line leaving you looking through a series of gun slits…

The LS is one of the sharpest looking 4-door sedans ever. Clean and trim lines, great proportions and an athletic and purposeful stance. My compliments to Herr Schrader.

These are fantastically fun little cars to drive but, holy shit, what a dog it would’ve been with an extra person in them, or a couple of small children and/or actual dogs.

A long time ago, I worked at a Uhaul repair center for a time fixing, among other things, truck boxes that people ran into overhangs.

People have become conditioned that you have to have AWD if you live in a climate that ever sees more than two snowflakes on the ground at the same time so adding an AWD option may be a matter of survival for RWD vehicles of already limited mass market appeal, even if it offends us purists.

There’s the ~1970 peak of style and panache and there’s the current peak of absolute performance which has been building for 35 years and peaking for over a decade now and isn’t showing signs of collapsing yet.

There’s a couple of folks out there in that surf that for a few seconds were thinking to themselves,
