That 20 mpg city for the 4cyl Explorer is pretty impressive - that's a 4500+ lbs vehicle. The V6 is rated at 17mpg so that's a 17% improvement right there. I'd like to see Ford put that motor in the Mustang and see what it does with almost 1000 lbs less to push around.

The speakers in my Mustang are 6 ohm - makes mere speaker replacement a trickier proposition, do you get 4ohm which draw more power and maybe trip the thermal breakers in the amps more often or do you get 8 ohm which would be safer but wouldn't draw as much power from the amp and may not go as load, or do you just rip

Seems like a nice car but $6500 still triggers my automatic-CP instinct for anything malaise that isn't a Trans Am or Z-28. I'm having a hard time adjusting to a reality where those type cars are worth actual money.

The Flying LeSabre is amazing! We used to try to do stuff like that in high school but no one had a car fast enough, thank goodness. Supposedly, one guy caught some air off one of our favorite launch attempt spots in his dad's turbo 300Z and flattened all 4 tires upon landing, spun out and damaged some suspension

I don't see wheelie bars so driving this thing could be problematic.

Those would be appropriate choices and would be very cool but have the disadvantage of being not cheap and not readily available which is why the American V8's are so attractive - I can go to the pick-n-pull and snag an aluminum DOHC 32V 4.6L V8 for $137.82. Junkyards are filled with perfectly good LS and Mod motors

Oh, man, I'd almost forgotten about that show - I'm off to the Internets to find more episodes.

Not only was he a genius, and not only was he a genius at explaining things in such a way that you wholly understand what the hell he's talking about, he was a genius at explaining things in such a way that at first you didn't realize that it was something that needed explaining, but then you realize it did, and then

Lol, a W12 928 would out of this world - someone needs to do this

The 928 is a tough case - they deserve proper Porsche motivation but rebuild costs are so out of line with car values that motor swaps are almost a necessity if these cars are going to stay on the road.

I've been concerned about pedestrian safety for years and have always strove to make sure that any passers-by are aurally aware of my vehicle for their own protection.

I'll be stocking up on Geos for the next spike.

...this guy here.

I learned from the little Lego differential that came in one of the car kits. That moment of understanding when I could see how it all worked clearly was a great feeling.

You could say Hyundai's Genesis Coupe is supposed to compete with the Mustang/Camaro/Challenger in the pony car arena although those last two, in particular, are big enough to be considered muscle cars. I think the terms are going to have to be redefined since no one seems to want intermediate or full-sized 2 door

I think this is great news - the more muscle cars, the better. Maybe if it catches on, it'll prod GM & Ford into re-entering the segment.

My SN95, which has a couple hundred pounds on a late Fox, feels much tidier size-wise than my buddy's S197 but even that feels smaller than most cars out there these days and especially its pony car competition. The ergonomics are goofier in mine than his but it feels snugger without feeling cramped and I don't feel

MX6? Great looking? The Probes were pretty good looking but the MX6 proportions are really weird - like maybe they're rear-engined or something.

...and a couple of cars that drive right over the grass in the middle and some going completely off the outside of it.
