Yeah, I really liked it too. I thought it was a fun heist movie set in an interesting universe.  Also would love a sequel.  I’ve kept up with Rebels, so the Darth Maul scene was shocking, but not completely unexpected.

Assistant Regional Sith Lord. No, sorry, Assistant to the Regional Sith Lord.

Agreed, a Lando origin story would have been more interesting (and would have been nice to get a black lead in a Star Wars movie as well)

Still bummed this movie didn’t do better. I really liked it and would liked to have seen more chapters to the story.

The first one was quite watchable, and is the only one to have a coherent script and a functioning three-acct structures. It has it flaws, mosty stemming from Bay immature proclivities, but they could have been fixed in a sequel. Unforturnately, all the sequels went full Bay

Wouldn’t he be a little short for a stormtrooper?

Not Penny’s star destroyer

I genuinely don’t understand how the writer of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Star Trek into Darkness, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 keeps getting work. How do I get a job being paid hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars to consistently write garbage?

Personally I think that many of the spin-off proposals are off the mark. Solo was misguided and retconned an existing character in a detrimental way. For all intents and purposes Obi-Wan’s character needs to be a reclusive character on Tatooine for many reasons, not the least of which is a need to avoid attention.

I guess defining rules for this is nice. But notches aren’t. It’s a stupid design decision and copying Apple isn’t really worth it when you can release superior devices by leaving the notch out. The whole zero bezel trend will keep making phones more and more fragile, and harder to repair, while also making it more

Am I the only one that thinks a notch looks worse than an entire bezel?

How about we stop freaking out about having a completely bezel-less design and just leave enough room on the face of the phone for the non-screen things that make sense there? I’d MUCH rather have stereo front-facing speakers than an extra 30 pixels of screen width.

The original Lord of the Rings trilogy is what happens when art leads. The Hobbit trilogy is what happens when money leads.

It’s not really the people, it’s 1) the industry who ran out of ways to innovate phones other than eliminating bezel and 2) tech journalists who have to review every phone and, due to the lack of smartphone innovations and brand differences, are left talking about the bezel or lack there of. The entire bezel thing is

The conceit is that Cloak & Dagger is trying to be grounded and real by taking its time to get to super superhero shenanigans. But “grounded and real” is not worth it if it just means “boring and slow.”

I’ve been impressed at how “adult” the series has been - from Tandy’s drug habit to the sex to discovering her dad was an abusive SOB, it’s dealt with adult issues in a straightforward, honest way. Very interesting to see on FreeForm!

But “grounded and real” is not worth it if it just means “boring and slow.”

This show has consistently been so much better than it has any right to be. Clearly took a page out of the AoS book of minimalist superpower VFX - everything they’ve done so far is super simple, but effective as hell. Unlike most of the other MCU shows out there (aside from Agent Carter and a couple of isolated

Primal is hugely underrated. The fact very few replies to my own comment acknowledge it, makes me feel a whole ton of people slept on it. Which is a shame. It’s probably the best one, if not my personal favorite.
