Yeah, I really liked it too. I thought it was a fun heist movie set in an interesting universe.  Also would love a sequel.  I’ve kept up with Rebels, so the Darth Maul scene was shocking, but not completely unexpected.

Still bummed this movie didn’t do better. I really liked it and would liked to have seen more chapters to the story.

The first one was quite watchable, and is the only one to have a coherent script and a functioning three-acct structures. It has it flaws, mosty stemming from Bay immature proclivities, but they could have been fixed in a sequel. Unforturnately, all the sequels went full Bay

Personally I think that many of the spin-off proposals are off the mark. Solo was misguided and retconned an existing character in a detrimental way. How about we stop freaking out about having a completely bezel-less design and just leave enough room on the face of the phone for the non-screen things that make sense there? I’d MUCH rather have stereo front-facing speakers than an extra 30 pixels of screen width.

The conceit is that Cloak & Dagger is trying to be grounded and real by taking its time to get to super superhero shenanigans. But “grounded and real” is not worth it if it just means “boring and slow.”

Primal is hugely underrated. The fact very few replies to my own comment acknowledge it, makes me feel a whole ton of people slept on it. Which is a shame. It’s probably the best one, if not my personal favorite.
