Windows 7 is stable, highly usable, and a great OS. Rarely aggrivating. It's worth giving a try.

Yes, you're blind, delusional, and stupid if you think there's any parity between those iPad keyboard add-ons, and what Surface is shipping.

You're not thinking deeply enough.

In fact, on the desktop/browser, I find Bing maps to be more accurate, more often, than Google maps. I can't count the number of times in just the last year where it got an address not just wrong, but STUNNINGLY wrong. That includes directions, not just locations. Meanwhile, type the exact same address into Bing,

That link just proves how blind or delusional you are. But thanks for sharing.

Rumored at least four different resolutions supported, including significantly higher DPI. Only have to wait until tomorrow to find out the details!

It's the windows 8 core, and they've spent 3 years optimizing it for low-power.

Pretty bad time to buy... all sorts of new stuff coming out between now and September/October. Same with laptops.

A 3GS is two generations behind. Not exactly an apples-to-apples (pardon the pun) comparison.

Your continued insults are making me laugh. The fact that you think Apple is more "open" than Windows still makes me chuckle. The fact that you only have insults to hurl at me to make you feel better about your idiotic foot stamping... yeah. Still laughing at you.

If you don't even know what charms are, how can you have ever used Win8 (or read anything about it). It's the new system-wide menu. You get to it by swiping in from the right edge (touch) or hitting either right-corner (mouse), or using the keyboard (WindowsKey + C). It's the central part of the Metro UI. You

I love it when ignorant people spout ignorant nonsense like they know what they're talking about.

Yes, it DOES have a desktop. You just can't install any desktop software onto it. But it includes Office, which is a special ARM-compiled version of Office Home & Student, and these are Desktop apps that run on the Desktop in WinRT. WinRT also doesn't have Windows Media Player, but it still has the control panel,

Ah. Yeah, there were lots of known issues with both XP-64 and XP-Media Center Edition. Just a bad combo.

But it's still a full computer (just not compatable with all Windows desktop apps). And it'll have Office Home & Student built in.

So? You can use a physical keyboard with the Win8Pro or WinRT tablets too.

Again, wrong. I can install Linux on any number of boxes from any number of manufacturers, including building my own.

I keep hearing that the shutdown is hidden. But it's so NOT hidden. It's JUST as easy to get to as before. It's like saying it's "Hidden" in the start menu.

You also hold the Surface Pro differently than an iPad. The iPad you hold with one hand while poking at it with the other. The Surface Pro you hould with two hands in landscape mode, and navigate with your thumbs. It's much easier and more relaxed.

If you think this brings nothing new to the table, and the keyboard cover "has existed for a long time", then you're either blind or delusional or just stupid. Not sure which.
