Well, it started getting better in the final three episodes (I stuck with it to the bitter end of the season)... but the finale, imho, completely ruined it. The cliff-hanger was awful.

And how many Apple owners take advantage of it? Very few. At best they truck it down to the Genius Bar.

Nobody buying an Apple machine cares one bit about this stuff. Apple computers are NOT about DIY stuff. It's about buying a completely integrated from top-to-bottom experience with a "cool" cachet.

And google maps. Just a three way comparison between the latest and greatest from each company.

Agreed.

What about comparing with maps on WP7? I'd be interested in seeing that as well... (especially given WP7's integration with 'local scout', and the now-similar feature on iOS6)

So how does either compare with Windows Phone? And will Google make a full maps app for WP7 or WP8?

Brilliant! Now I'm sad I never had such a t-shirt...

People still wear cuff-links? I mean... they're still a thing?

We're long over-due, and now there are at least a dozen heads in line ahead of his...

I'm eagerly awaiting the new Win8 tablets and convertables/hybrids coming out in the fall. The new ASUS hybrid looked pretty awesome to me, and I'm sure there are more really impressive devices that will appear this fall as well.

@dbury isn't the only one. I agree with everything he replied and then some. Safari annoys the crap out of me. So does having the 'close window' button on the left instead of on the right (feels like trying to use left-handed scissors when you're right-handed)... you just have to move the mouse so much MORE with OS

Both... but even the Parallels/Bootcamp users use it as their primary environment.

Time Warner and others. I wonder, though, if they have conflicting interests...

Most I know buy Apple hardware and then run Windows 7 on it.

Agree on the trackpad issue. Honestly, ti's the ONLY thing I feel Apple does absolutely right and every Windows PC/Laptop manufacturer does absolutely wrong. It's the ONLY thing I "envy" from Apple users.

You can count on things changing before Christmas... a whole flood of new Win8 ultra-books, tablets, convertables, and more are going to be coming out all Fall and into the the winter. It's going to be very interesting.

I watched LOST to the bitter end. And I agree with you: Lindelof is definitely to blame, but why didn't Ridley Scott notice any of these major problems and work them out? And yeah, the "spackling job" is kind of funny to me... it doesn't convince me I'm wrong about the movie, it only proves I'm right :-)
