I wonder if component availability has improved in the broader automotive supply chain. After the COVID pandemic began, it was common for cars to be sold without XYZ feature because the parts to enable it were simply not available at the time.

This is probably an unpopular opinion around here, but if I had to choose between the spartan Tesla Model 3 interior and this “Designed to look like Gamer PC from 2005 with LEDs LEDs LEDs!!!” then I’ll take the spartan Tesla design.
What’s wrong with Lexus? Them lasting forever a big problem for enthusiasts or something?
There is one of these parked at my parent’s condo complex. A GLE350 (maybe a 450) with the AMG wheels. 275s in the front, 315s in the back. A Hellcat rocks 275s all around. Why so big?
Tesla. You will never convince me that those cars are luxury. Panel gaps I can see through, horrible interiors, “leather” that is just nasty, seats that suck, etc etc etc.
It’s got us thrown into a frenzy. Our dealer group set cash aside for the downturn, when you have 200 plus used cars across 3 stores, and an average markup of 2400 bucks, a 5 percent drop is EXTREMELY scary. We shipped a lot off to auction to try and get out ahead of this, and we’re in the process of replenishing at a…
lol at the idea of calling a Tesla a “Luxury” car.
Teslas are not luxury vehicles. The build quality, materials, and most importantly, service experience are far behind luxury competitors.
Tesla should consider farming Roadster production out to someone else like Magna or Multimatic. They won’t be built in high numbers anyway not to mention that people have already been waiting for quite some time. Letting someone else assemble them will probably result in better build quality too.
Apparently I missed the “innovation” of putting your licence plate on a screeen. What’s so bad about a stamped and painted piece of metal? It’s simple and robust and cheap and doesn’t use any electricity.
What in the world makes you think that Elon Musk is alt-right? Serious question. I’ve read and heard lots of people who think it, and I want to know why your specifically think it.
“On the flip side, we in the U.S. seem to have just given up, forcing everyone to be continually reinfected with a still-not-entirely-understood virus for the sake of the almighty dollar while entirely barring immunocompromised people from participating in society with our lack of countermeasures.”
Awesome! And apologies if you mentioned this is a previous writeup, but has the stock IMS bearing been replaced with an LN Engineering one??
Vingroup has businesses all over Vietnam. You might buy groceries at VinMart and clothing at VinPlaza.
That’s good and all, but. . . hell is other people. I can’t imagine a more miserable place to live than a big downtown apartment block.
Go on, pack into your 450 sqft box in the big city. No, the rich won’t be turning in their private planes, maybe next year.
As a developer, we typically have staging sites for that. There’s no reason this needed to exist on the production website. Unless...
I was expecting something making more of a statement that the car is electrified, maybe something like this
How about a different one then all the muscle car engines and exotics that are the obvious answer? I give you the international Navistar T444E also known as the Ford Powerstroke 7.3L. It was the workhorse of Ford’s super duty trucks for many years and also powered many school buses and work vans. Bullet proof reliable…
terrible idea. What’s next, boosts to cars based on fans’ likes on social media? This is not racing anymore...
