You may not like him, I don’t like him, but he was on firm ground firing those folks. It’s pretty thin to say that the employees were fighting “for better working conditions” which is where the protection lies, because they led off with criticism of Musk, specifically, and then asked for more inclusive policies.

Publicly writing a letter stating your boss needs to keep his mouth shut, and getting your buddies to sign it, sounds like a great way to be unemployed. He signs your paycheck and you think Will Smith smacking him in public is going to turn out good for you? Then you sue because you lost your job, this is laugh out

Seriously, I was coming here to say this exact thing. Austin Clagett did nothing wrong here and is just being screwed over by two companies that were too cheap to cover their offered prize.

No one in this story seems particularly likable...

I doubt he’s afraid of Twitter. He just doesn’t want to be tracked like a dog on Twitter.

Wow, I’m all for saving Mother Earth and what not, but if this isn’t some ridiculous grandstanding do-gooder bullshit, then I don’t know what is. If my tax money was being diverted from some of California’s far more serious problems so people in poor neighborhoods can become subsidized Tesla Stans. . . . what the

The words “CrossCabriolet is good” broke everyone’s computers.

My browser must be broken, this came across as a normal article and not some infernal slideshow.

Jalopnik: “I wish car makers took more risks. Every car is a boring, gray CUV.”

5th gear: I love how Uber calls it their fleet when a sweeping initiative like this happens. And yet the flexibility comes with all sorts of requirements, this being the most ridiculous

When my kids were Boy Scouts, I regularly drive my wife’s FWD Sienna off road to off-grid campsites. But no, tell me again why you need that $5k popup tent on your roof.

The kind of trenchant political analysis we need, people who think Mao is still alive and in charge of China

If they’re squealing like this, you know you’re putting pressure in the right place.

China will be all but finished economically and demographically before the end of the decade. Everyone is pulling out so fast there’s going to be no way for them to stop the bleeding.

Wait, China abides by laws? That's new.

So this isn’t ok, but requiring every foreign manufacturer to partner with a chinese firm in order to build and sell in china was ok?

Well China should never have been let in the World Trade Organization so they can go ahead and leave.

Despite thinking Donald is an orange looney criminal , this is something I do give him credit for. He’s the first president we’ve had that even tried to do something about China. I mean in the end he kicked off a trade-war but I give him credit for even addressing it.

I mean, with 700-plus lb-ft, the shape of the torque curve is almost irrelevant

Between this and his warnings to Germany about relying on Russia for its primary energy source, gotta admit he wasn’t always wrong.
