This has a SBC not a diesel engine, so it does not actually roll coal.

lol, I thought the same thing. Luxury trucks is an enormous segment. Part of that is that 1/2 ton luxo models are extremely comfortable for long highway jaunts, but also there are tax incentives for businesses to buy them. I personally don’t want a stripper model for $40k. I’m in it for leather, heated seats/wheel,…
“automakers don’t really want to sell you affordable cars anymore, as they’ve figured out that they can make more money by selling fewer, but more expensive ones.”
This was my first thought when I read the headline.
Just the latest in the “wishful thinking” genre of Jalopnik posts, where if the writers solemnly explain how trucks, especially expensive ones, are Very Bad, everyone will start driving Honda Fits again, as god intended.
The airport isn’t in Denver.
Look, there is ONLY one acceptable livery for a 747 party plane...
I was thinking that this sort of thing happens to Jeeps all the time. Both the hard and soft tops on the Bronco seem rather complicated, and anything short of a solid, hard roof design is not going to work 100% of the time in extreme weather.
The said they wanted the full Wrangler experience...
Carhenge is the obvious choice for Jalops.
Also acceptable is Wall Drug in South Dakota.
Corn Palace Mitchell SD
Yeah, this is clearly a “lol trucks are bad, that driver has a small pee pee” moment. Do some people install them for show? Absolutely, but for those of us small-minded people who don’t live in a major city, they serve a purpose.
The Fuel Shark!
I have one that is bare bones and manual. It is still a decent car. Close to 120K miles and have only had to do maintenance. It is a fun car that will be missed by those that need a car and do not went to be buried in this overpriced used car market
You mean that’s not normal?! I uh... I need to see my doctor
Ironically, much hated at the time, I wouldn’t mind a window-Garfield now. I’m in the mood for some pointless nostalgia.
Spinners. The spinning rims were a pretty awful accessory and the trend even made its way down to the accessory aisle at Walmart. Lots of the marching band kids at my school ironically put them on their shit boxes and that was actually pretty funny.
Too bad. It was actually a pretty decent car if you spec’ed it the right way. Sooner not later, GM is going to need to produce a vehicle that is worth owning in the low 20's. Their current offerings: Trax, Trailblazer, and Malibu. I commend them for having three vehicles in the price bracket, but they all suck big…
If I were rich I’d buy this, but only ironically. It would have one purpose: to drive my daughter to school in an effort to teach her humility.
Brown Manual Wagon. Who’s here is going to put their money where their keystrokes are? (not this MFer)
