A tiny part of me wonders if the comedians who went hard at Trump in the last few months are quietly worried what will happen when he reaches office. I mean, didn’t Omarosa basically confirm that he keeps an enemies list and plots revenge on people who cross him? He’s gonna have access to CIA, FBI, IRS, etc. I doubt

Except nobody has questioned their right to protest. It’s the wisdom of it that deserves to be mocked.

I appreciate your response. I have seen people questioning the legitimacy of Trump, given how the GOP tried to pass Voter ID laws, campaigned against felon voting rights, etc. (somebody replied to me with an article making some of those claims). So there is an element of that going on.

Except I’m not saying anything about emotions - I’m talking about actions. I’ve felt plenty in the last 24 hours, but the difference is that my emotions did not lead me to act like a petulant child in any capacity by doing things that I’d mock the other side for if the shoe were on the other foot. But that’s just me.

Except like I said above, I’m not white. I’d suggest less posting and more reading on your part. It helps.

Except it’s the consistent position. If we had a Clinton victory and Trump supporters claiming she was “not their President” we’d deride them as sore losers (heck, we already did it back when they first raised the possibility). If logical consistency bothers you, then you do you.

Um, if you took a gander at my comment history, you’d see I’ve been here for years and am very much a mixed Native American. Remember, only asses assume ;)

But that’s you. I know if Clinton had won and I saw Trump supporters doing these things, I’d definitely have a laugh at their expense and mock them pretty roundly for failing Democracy 101. And what’s good for the goose, you know...

So basically, you would totally mock a Trump supporter for doing what you’re doing, but it’s totes different because you’re not angry, just....sad?

But if that’s the case, aren’t there far more productive things to do that could actually be impactful? These protests are basically about angry people being angry in public. Trump’s policies are awful. So why not, you know, donate your money, time or resources to those groups that can actually counter some of those

No, like when Obama decided that American citizens overseas could be denied due process and be unilaterally executed if they were determined to be “threats.” You know, that little speedbump!

I get the sentiment, but I think you’d be hard pressed to find a President that can represent you all the time. Like I said above, there were times I was ashamed of some things Obama did - but I never felt the urge to protest him just so people could know how pissed I was at him. I wrote letters, I called, I contacted

Well....yeah. He’s not anybody’s president until he takes the oath of office. That’s kind of the law, I think.

Honest question: people here lambasted Trump supporters who said they would not accept the results if Clinton won, that she’s never be their president, etc. How is it okay to say that about Trump? I have not heard any allegations about rigging, fraud, or other hijinks going on to push a Trump victory. I mean, as much

But does that really matter? He said it. Even if he didn’t mean it, he said it - something almost no politician has ever done. Isn’t the fact that it was said at all a cause for alarm? Personally, I don’t much care if he meant it or not - the fact that he even said it is personally enough.

All presidents traditionally put their business interests into some form of trust to be managed without their input, but Trump has said that he would simply delegate control of his interests to his children, so I don’t know if anybody’s told him yet about the messy financials of it.

Well, we kinda are! This isn’t a debate about anybody “good.” It’s about who would be marginally less horrific.

I’m not arguing that. It’s an argument of quantity of death. Trump with nukes would foreseeably result in billions of deaths.

Except how does racism play into it? Theocracy is premised upon discriminating against people outside of the non-dominant religion. Race only comes into it if the religion itself is an ethno-religion premised upon racial exclusion.

If you check my history, I’ve been here for years. Native American female. Go ahead, check. I’ll wait.
