She gets to decide if she wanted it or not. The law gets to decide if it was an assault. There are legal definitions. She has said she didn't like it. She didn't ask for it. She didn't want it. She didn't enjoy it. What more is there to say.

It's a photo of an assault. I never understood why people think it's romantic. I can't keep count of how many times I've been grabbed on the street, and it terrifies and enrages me. It's not fun.
It's legal, but it shouldn't be legal. It's way too young to fly unaccompanied by an adult. Period. Too young.
Couldn't agree more. Taylor Swift having been sexually assaulted is not something for Jezebel to snark about.
Congratulations! Woo hoo!!!!! I love the friends I met at Barnard, and I learned so much. Didn't find it to be the warmest place on earth. GS seems like a cool place. A friend of mine who had to leave school went back and got her degree there. Anyway, good luck to you!
No THIS is an excellent comment.

I remember there was this one guy at Columbia who wore the same outfit every day for years and years—don’t remember his name though. It was blue corduroys, blue shirt, khaki corduroy blazer. Or maybe the reverse.…
So true. It's preposterous.
Are you there now? It's quite a school. Glad to hear they're keeping up the traditions. After you graduate you continue to run into people who went there for the rest of your life who remember the misery. It's a real sisterhood.
Thank you. Women encounter so much hostility in work and academia, and life in general, I don’t think we even realize how much. On the other hand, I’m not dead yet. I still think and study and will maybe some day even write something.
I took a class with Professor Pogge at Columbia in the late 80's. I was a Barnard student, and he "joked" that all the Barnard students would drop his class within two weeks, the idea being that we were dumber than Columbia students. His teaching sucked. I got my first migraine in that class from stress. Luckily my…
